Ebenezer Dadeboe
A man of God, called by God, committed to living and serving in a manner consistent with the standards set forth in Scripture. Pastor Dadeboe is the principal communicator of God’s Word in public worship and ensures that Christ Disciples Assembly is growing to maturity in Christ. He also oversees and leads outreach and pastoral care efforts, including biblical counseling, performing weddings and conducting funeral services. Christ Disciples Assembly is a young independent church started in York 7 years ago. The Pastor, Ebenezer Dadeboe, who works full-time for the US Postal Service, started a family devotion ministry when he and his family moved to York, PA from Ghana in 1998. Pastor Dadeboe’s compassion and strong desire for soul-winning in the city and in obedience to the Great Commission, invited people without a Church home in the City of York to his house. Soon he had 3 members joining the family for the devotion. The gathering quickly expanded to 12 members who met every Sunday morning in his home. The young congregation then rented a place for their worship. Seven years ago, the church was registered and has been growing with current average attendance of 50 members. The Church has the compassion and strong desire for city soul-winning. We currently meet in the Chapel of the First Church of the Brethren on Kingston Road, York. Most of our members live in the city and have no means of transportation, we trust God to provide for us means of acquiring a property in the city to expand our ministry. Our vision is to be a welcoming Church to all who do not have spiritual fulfillment where they are and seek to learn the word of God and grow spiritually in Christ. We serve the community by organizing free children and youth summer camps and various adult life skills training workshops.
